The word yoga means connection. The process or practice of yoga is a journey to our true selves, our true nature. Traditionally yoga was taught one on one and so naturally took into account the unique starting point of the student. I have studied classical yoga in the lineage of Sri Krishnamacharya and his son TKV Desikachar, who said;

Yoga must be made to suit the individual, not the individual to suit the yoga… In yoga, only the student matters. The teacher is there to help that individual evolve according to his or her unique situation and potential.
— TKV Desikachar

I teach studio and private classes at Living Flow Yoga Ashfield. Check their website for details to come along and trial one of my classes or contact me about private sessions.

To me, yoga and nature connection are analogous journeys of self discovery, growth, healing and connection. Both connect us to the worlds inside and around us, help us to live more deeply and allow us to experience the joy and vitality of becoming more fully alive. Read my article on yoga and nature connection, and how I believe they are one and the same, here.
