Hello and welcome. My name is Louise Kiddell. I'm a certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, currently one of just a handful in Australia. Forest Bathing is being called "The New Yoga", but actually connecting to nature in meaningful ways is something humans have been practicing for thousands of years in different cultures all around the world.

My intention in creating Barefoot Wellbeing is to guide and support people in their journeys of reconnection to wild places, inside and out.

In our modern world we live in a state of constant activation. Our society values doing more than being, thinking more than feeling, and we can even feel ashamed of taking time to restore and regenerate ourselves. This is taking it’s toll on our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing, our connection to others and our connection to nature.

It’s time to reconnect.

In 2014 after several years of working in the not for profit sector, I was stressed and burnt out with a back injury. Nature, wilderness and yoga played a huge part in my journey of healing and reconnecting. Now I want to share what I have learnt and help to guide journeys of transformation and reconnection in others.

My background is in Medical Science, Environmental Conservation and Community Development. I worked with a diverse range of organisations from RSPCA NSW to the Nature Conservation Council. Now, after training with The Yoga Institute and The Association of Nature and Forest Therapy Guides I am a yoga teacher and Nature and Forest Therapy Guide. I am also a Bush School and WILD PLAY educator at Centennial Park and the Australian Botanic Gardens. I lead Forest Bathing and Nature Connection Walks at Centennial Park and other locations around NSW.

With Barefoot Wellbeing I guide community nature connection walks, events, workshops and retreats that can be customised to your needs. Browse my list of upcoming events or contact me to find out how we can work together.

Louise is a natural in nature. Her gentle and calm presence creates a beautiful sense of reassurance and peace as she supports people to really feel present and slow down from the usual busy pace of life. Louise creates a fun and fulfilling experience and I thoroughly recommend her as your guide in nature.
